Thermoltec HTF is used as a high heat transfer fluid used during distillation. Can be heated up to 315°C. Smoke point is around 115°C for open bath systems.

Inexpensive and ideal for wiped film evaporators. The oil goes in the wiper body or reactor body as the heat jacket.
